Tamiya Tin Tops

Classic plastic Tamiya chassis with unlimited hop-ups and 540 power, all matched to iconic bodies.

Chassis

Tamiya plastic-tubbed 4WD or 2WD touring car chassis (TT-01, TA-01, FF01 etc.)

Chassis Rules

TRF chassis are not permitted.
Any available hop-ups for the chassis are permitted except full carbon chassis replacements.
Gearing is unrestricted.

Motor & ESC

Tamiya RS-540 Sport-Tuned or Torque-Tuned Motor.
The motor should be run out of the box with No Modifications.
Tamiya TBLE-02S ESC or Tamiya equivalent Brushed ESC. OR
Hobbywing Quicrun 1060 60A Waterproof Brushed ESC.
Steering Servo, Transmitter & Receiver are free.
No Gyros or Electronic Driver Aids are permitted!

Body Shells

This class is for Touring and GT cars that raced between 1983 and 2005.

Many Tamiya bodies are available as re-releases or copies and other suitable body shells from manufactures like L&L, Colt and HPI are available online or through hobby retailers. This is a fun category so we encourage scale accuracy of bodies and paintwork!

Suitable bodies include;

Group A Touring Cars (BMW M3, Mercedes 190E, Nissan R32 GTR, Audi V8 etc.)
Super Touring Cars (Honda Accord, Ford Mondeo, BMW 318i STW, Volvo 850 etc.)
DTM Cars (Alfa Romeo 155 GTA, Mercedes C-Class, Audi TT DTM etc.)
Japanese SuperGT Cars (Toyota Supra, Nissan R33 & R34 GTR, Honda NSX etc.)

Body Rules

Bodies should be scale-accurate representations of actual cars that raced in period.
LMP, Group 6/C Sportscar and Can-Am bodies are NOT permitted
Deck lids and spoilers as used on the actual car.
No additional skirts, raised/extended wings or air-controlled surfaces are permitted.
Body must be trimmed to trim lines.

Tyres

Any 24-31mm on-road rubber tyres.
Tyre cleaner permitted.
Tyre warmers permitted.
Tyre additive permitted.

Batteries

Any 2 cell Hard-cased approved 7.4 Lipo packs as listed on the ROAR or EFRA websites.
