Geelong RC Racers, in association with RCRA, invite racers to the 2024 GRCR Triple Crown this June Long Weekend. The Triple Crown features all 2WD classes for Prototypes, Fronties and the 2024 Formula 1 Geetroit Grand Prix. This exciting event will have a unique format headlined by our new 'Super Pole' qualifying.

Schedule

Saturday 8th June​

  • Track open for practice from 9:00am till 5:00pm

  • Open practice will run for 2 hours before changing to control practice

Sunday 9th June

  • 9:00am drivers briefing

  • 9:30am Controlled practice for 90 minutes

  • 11:00am Qualifying Rounds – 3 rounds for all classes

  • 3:30pm Super Pole

  • 5:00pm Track Closes

Monday 10th June

  • 8:30am drivers briefing

  • 9:00am Finals x 4

  • 3:00pm Presentations

 

GRCR reserves the right to amend the schedule, however changes will be communicated to racers.

Geetroit Grand Prix Classes

  • Formula 1 - 21.5

  • Formula 1 - 21.5 Junior

  • Formula 1 - 540

Prototype Classes

  • 1/12 Stock

  • 1/12 GT

  • 1/10 LMP

Frontie Classes

  • TCR

  • Mini Pro

  • Mini Clubman

Entries

  • A class must have a minimum of 6 entries to run

  • Entries close Friday 7th June at 6pm

 

Race Fees

  • $30 per Entry​

  • GRCRT Platinum Members will receive a discount of 50% on each entry

 

Trophies

1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each class will receive a trophy.
Concourse trophy for best presented body shell.
All classes will be judged for Concourse together prior to the first qualifier.
To be eligible for concourse, the body must be used at some stage during the event.

 

Cash Prizes

1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each class will receive a cash prize.

The total prize pool will be confirmed after entries close on the 7th of June 2024.

Tyres

Tyres are open for all classes

Tyre additive and cleaner are open for all classes

(No brake cleaner or solvent-based cleaner inside the clubrooms)

​

Transponders

MyLaps and AMBrc transponders are supported.
MRT mPTX personal transponders are supported.

 

Pitting

GRCR Platinum Members will be given 1 priority pit spot inside the clubrooms.
Interstate competitors will be given priority pitting along the back straight.

We will advise racers closer to the event if marquees will be required to pit outside.

 

Catering

  • Hot pies, sausage rolls, pasties will be available for purchase on Saturday.

  • Egg & bacon rolls will be available for breakfast on Sunday and Monday.

  • Sausages and hamburgers will be available for lunch on Sunday and Monday.

  • Soft Drinks and Water will be available for purchase all event.

 

Event Rules

Technical regulations:

  • All cars will be subject to weight and measure checks.

  • Battery voltage will be measured randomly

  • Any commercially available motor for the class can be used.
