​​Heritage Touring Car celebrates the golden era of 1/10 electric touring car racing. Whether you're bringing a classic pre-2000 chassis or a later-generation heritage car, this class is all about close, affordable racing with iconic bodyshells and period-correct styling. From restoring a shelf queen to pushing a well-developed heritage chassis to its limits, the focus is on preserving the look, spirit and enjoyment of touring car racing's most memorable era while getting these legendary machines back on track where they belong.

 

Chassis

Pre-2000 Vintage

• Any 1/10 electric touring car chassis first released prior to 1 January 2000.

 

Post-2000 Heritage

• Any 1/10 electric touring car chassis first released between 1 January 2000 and 31 December 2005.

• Pre-2000 chassis are also eligible to compete in this category if desired.

 

Motor

Pre-2000 Vintage

• Surpass 17T brushed motor only.

 

Post-2000 Heritage

• Surpass 17T brushed motor, or

• 21.5T brushless motor operating in Blinky Mode only.

 

Body

Pre-2000 Vintage

• Period-correct touring car bodyshells are strongly encouraged.

• Wherever possible, competitors should use bodies and components appropriate to the era.

 

Post-2000 Heritage

• Touring car bodyshells are limited to designs from the Protoform LTCR / Mazda 6 era and earlier.

• Modern high-downforce touring car bodyshells are not permitted.

Tyres

• Rubber tyres only (24mm)

Hop Ups

• Any hop up available from any manufacturer.

Batteries

• Any 2 cell Hard-cased approved 7.4 Lipo packs as listed on the ROAR or EFRA websites.

Gearing

For competitors using the Surpass 17T brushed motor, a Final Drive Ratio (FDR) between 6.9:1 and 7.2:1 is recommended, depending on chassis design. This provides the best balance of performance, reliability and motor longevity.
