June 2022 Championship Season

Heavy fog and a damp track greeted us for our 2nd attempt to run our June club day after being rained out for our usual 1st Sunday, however it wasnt long before the sun popped out, cleared the fog and dried the track to the jubilation to the small army of racers that braved the early conditions.

Aaron Morris once again showed his dominance in the class taking a clean sweep in qualifying and the main races. His preparation for redemption from last years Challenge Cup is well on track (pun intended).

Joel Rickets dusted off his mini and bought it out to play and it was a great battle between himself and Grant Davies. Joel TQ'd and and also showed great pace in the main to take the day out ahead of Grant and Paul Iverson in 3rd.

1st- Joel Ricketts

2nd- Grant Davies

3rd- Paul Iverson

This class is growing in popularity all the time and its easy to see why; with a control car and stunning, realistic bodies its a recipe for great fun racing. The state champion, Nic Michaelides bought his car out for a burn and took TQ and mains to take out the class with Grant Davies close behind with new comer and future star Zak Trig (aka Zak Attack) closing it out.

1st- Nic Michaelides

2nd- Grant Davies

3rd- Zak Trig

This is another class that is growing in popularity with a control motor and ESC coupled with realistic looking scale hot hatces hatch body its such a fun class to watch and drive in. Grant Davies crushed the class with is XPress powered Honda taking TQ and all the mains ahead of Shane Ricketts who was running a conversion for his XRAY T4.

Joel Ricketts had a very slippery XRAY X4 powered by Team Powers elecs and took TQ and all the mains ahead of Luke Gunnell in his XRAY T4'21

1st- Joel Ricketts

2nd- Luke Gunnell

3rd- Shane Ricketts

Luke Gunnell and Joel Ricketts backed up there TC racing by also running in 13.5 however it was Luke that was too quick and took TQ and all the main to beat Steve Vakalis and Joel

1st- Luke Gunnel

2nd- Steve Vakalis.

3rd- Joel Ricketts

You cant beat a smile like this!
